Diane Brown, aka DeeBee, is the artist behind DeeBee Whimzy and is based in Southern California. She grew up island hopping through the Caribbean and Hawaii. It was through these travels where she made it a habit to fearlessly get up close and personal to the biodiversity of the tropical rainforests and marine life.

She later used her passion for the environment to fuel her studies as an Environmental Engineer. With this degree she worked closely with architects as a mechanical engineer, drawing complex plumbing and hvac systems on building plans.

This engineer-turned-artist, now combines her building drafting experience with her love of patterns in nature into her current artwork. She developed her own style of painting with acrylics by focusing on playing with layering color and geometry. Today, DeeBee manifests elements of nature and geometry in playful semi abstracts.
