Challenge

A very popular trail, the Vestal Rail Trail, runs directly behind the shopping center. Unfortunately the portion of the shopping center on display is an industrial eye-sore meant for truck deliveries. The client wanted to add an art piece here that would make the trail more scenic while also inviting people to visit the shops. 

Solution

The client wanted the mural to be dedicated to the town’s veterans. The mural I painted consisted of an abstract American Flag with a garden of poppies. The mural added uplifting artwork that greatly enhanced the community’s trail experience. Now this particular shopping center is seen as a vital part of a beautiful daily stroll down the trail.
