Ithaca, New York
Client: Cornell University - Rev Ithaca Startup Works
Challenge
The conference room that often hosts programs for important clients, had no signage that showed visitors a representation of their mission and achievements. Also no mural could not be painted directly on the wall due to maintenance requirements.
Solution
Instead of painting on the wall, I painted a mural on wall-mounted plywood. This mural installation can be removed for building maintenance, and can even be taken with them if they ever change offices.
The goal of the mural design was to reflect the innovative atmosphere of this unique workplace. Around every corner of this office there are theories being tested, prototypes being 3D printed, and ideas being shared. It was important that this mural highlight its advancements in hardware technology, its high-tech manufacturing machinery, and the amazing colleges and universities that make this program possible.
So I created a geometric mural that is a clear visual representation of Rev’s many contributions to hardware innovation.
