Challenge

From the main road, the public’s first impression of the shopping center is a large blank wall that is dull and uninviting. Since this is not the only shopping center in this suburban area, the property also needed a way to differentiate itself and attract more visitors. 

Solution

I painted an forest waterfall mural of Ithaca Falls that has transformed the Cayuga Shopping Center into a local landmark. This colorful mural is an attention-grabbing stylized representation of Ithaca Falls with autumn foliage that can be scene from the main road. Both car and foot-traffic to the shopping center has increased since the mural has been installed. Overall this Ithaca Falls waterfall mural has made running errands a more enjoyable experience for the community.
